Welcome to the 2022 edition of the Stavanger International Film Festival: the newest feature to one of Norway’s oldest cities!

SIFF is organised by a team of Stavanger-based film-lovers, with international backgrounds, who got together to bring new culture to the city. We meet up a few times a week, set up roles, assign tasks and figure out how to make it happen.

This festival is the first of its kind in this beautiful coastal city in southern Norway, adding to the city’s already rich cultural heritage.

As an international film festival, we welcome submissions of all genres from anywhere in the world. We aim to promote the work of new creators and DIY filmmakers who work in any genre!

As a brand-new festival, we hope to act as a starting point for your career, giving you confidence in your work and getting it in front of an audience. Anyone can submit: our focus is on high quality storytelling and creativity.
